About GRF
Every day, cultural heritage are endangered—by climate change, human developments and neglect. GRF working for conservation and preservation of cultural heritage.

India leads the world in disaster relief expenditure. About 60% of the landmass is prone to earthquakes of various intensities. Over 40 million hectares is prone to floods. About 8% of the total area is prone to cyclones. 68% of the area is susceptible to drought. In the decade 1990-2000, an average of about 4344 people lost their lives and about 30 million people were affected by disasters. The loss in terms of private, community and public assets has been astronomical.
With increased frequency of natural & man-made disasters in recent years, the massive losses to humanity & economy and subsequent relief & rehabilitation expenditure cannot be estimated or guessed.
A study by banking sectors suggest that $1 expended in preventive actions can match $40 expended for relief work.
Visualising the importance & advantages of prevention, mitigation and preparedness measures in disaster management, we shouldered the responsibility to help create a disaster resilient society not only in India but globally. Thus, came into existence the Global Rescue Foundation "GRF".
